(Hard to translate, and even Spanish speakers may not understand it.) In languages so close as Spanish and Portuguese, one can't see (but) the differences. (This is a play on words around the meaning of 'apenas' in Spanish and Portuguese; this adverb is among those words said to be 'false friends', as it has opposite meanings in these languages: in Spanish it means 'barely', in Portuguese it means 'only'. So, a Portuguese reader would be fooled into misreading the phrase with the exact opposite meaning that a Spanish reader would. And yet, both interpretations are pertinent observations.)
